When it comes to theme parks, the Walt Disney World Resort set the standard for all those that would follow. At Discovery Cove, a reservation only park, guests get to swim with dolphins, play with stingrays and come face to face with sharks.
There’s more fun to be had at Wet ‘n’ Wild waterpark; Gatorland or Legoland Orlando which is in Winter Haven about 45 minutes away. In the heart of International Drive is the newly opened Orlando Eye, a 400-foot tall observation wheel offering breath-taking views of downtown Orlando’s skyline, theme parks, lakes and, on a clear day, views of Cape Canaveral on the east coast.
